Do dreams really come true? Well, the simplest of answers is YES they most certainly do.
Having taken my very last GCSE exam on the 18th June 2014 prior to which I was very slowly coming to terms in accepting the fact that my dream and desire of attending a vocational dance school was not going to happen after the summer break, a number of us headed towards Pizza Express to celebrate the end of our GCSE exams.
Do dreams really come true? Eerrrrrrr YES
The following day (19th June 2014) was when mine and my parent’s world changed after receiving an email saying “we’re pleased to offer you a DaDA award”.
Like a bumbling wreck from then on, the day seemed to become a haze of non-reality and disbelief – I just kept saying to myself “is this really happening?”, “do dreams really come true?”…. I couldn’t believe it!!
You know when you spend days upon days thinking about wanting something that much, that when it happens it doesn’t seem real, well it’s not a lot like that..! It’s EXACTLY THAT..!
I know full well that there are a lot of other deserving people who like me have for weeks and months have kept saying to themselves “do dreams really come true?” So I know that being one of the lucky ones in actually being awarded a DaDA award comes massive responsibility in proving that it was right for me to receive such an award.
People have very kindly put faith in me and I intend to pay back that faith by working harder than I have ever worked before, so as to improve daily, weekly, and monthly.
Being offered a DaDA award is my golden ticket to realising my dreams and I intend to make every use of it.
