ABOUT Dance asks “are you into it?”

About Dance · 14 January, 2015 ·

ABOUT Dance is a newly launched start-up business, asks the dance community “are you into it?” as it moves forward with its plans in targeting its current and future service offerings all towards the varying elements associated within the dance industry.

The business which is currently developing and promoting its first offering which is to be a comprehensive online dance directory – is doing so in an attempt to gain suitable connections and contacts from which to help move the overall business further within the dance arena.

For many people young and old it’s about dance – maybe perhaps it’s something they used to do as a child and don’t any longer do but still perhaps wished they did, or are endeavouring to pursue a career of sorts within the field of dance, such as performing, teaching or training.

In a majority of such cases, if the “are you into it?” question relates to about dance then the answer would more than likely be a resounding YES!

As of yet the ABOUT Dance business is a total private enterprise started by a mother initially as a way to earn money to help fund her daughters’ dance training. It has not applied, nor has it been in receipt of any arts grant funding, that’s not to say it won’t apply in the future for some or all of its proposed future service offerings.

The company first wishes to try at the very least get semi-established and recognised for what it does seeing how the UK dance community interact and makes use of what it’s proposing to offer.

No one could fail to notice how the media over the past number of years have covered many formats which are about dance, dance shows such as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ are almost gaining a cult following as did shows like ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, and ‘Got To Dance’.

Shows like ‘Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew’ demonstrates that for some people who think that for them it’s not and will never be about dance, actually find that with a little determination and self-belief find that by the end, they too are into it.
